Dive into the rich and flavorful world of Southern cuisine with our "Cooking Like a Southerner" course. This course is designed to teach you the techniques, recipes, and cultural significance behind some of the South’s most beloved dishes. From Chicken Fried Steak, Fried Okra, Fried Green Tomatoes, to Peach Cobbler and more. You will learn to cook with soul and intention, embracing the heart and history of Southern cooking. Bring a small container to take home leftovers. Wear closed toe non-slip shoes (you will be standing), bring chef knife, paring knife, spatula, peeler, wooden spoons, measuring spoons/cups. Also, bring an apron, potholder and dishtowels (cleaning your area and dishes as a group is part of the class). Recipes will be provided.
