Professional Licensure and Certification Program Contacts / Disclosures

Professional Licensure

Certain A-B Tech academic programs prepare students to sit for applicable licensure and/or certification examinations in North Carolina. In order to comply with the U.S. Department of Education regulations regarding distance education and professional licensure, A-B Tech is required to make the following disclosure with respect to professional licensure or certification outside the state of North Carolina.

A-B Tech programs not listed below do not lead to professional licensure.

Students may contact the respective program contact listed below. Mail should be sent to the contact at the College's mailing address - 340 Victoria Road, Asheville, NC 28801.

Students may view the disclosure for each program or certificate to know which state A-B Tech Community College curriculum:

  • the program curriculum meets state educational requirements for licensure or certification, and
  • the program curriculum does not meet state educational requirements for licensure or certification, and
  • the institution has not made a determination whether the program curriculum meets, or does not meet, state educational requirements for licensure or certification.

The links to the State Authorization and Professional Licensure Board contacts by the state may be found at the bottom of the page under Professional Licensure.

Professional Licensure

If you are considering a program at A-B Tech that leads to licensure or certification and you do not live in NC, please contact the prospective program of interest to make sure that it will fulfill the state, in which you plan to practice, requirements before beginning the program.
