Certificates are conferred, awarded, or issued by authority of the North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges when all requirements for graduation have been satisfied.
The PBT Certificate is awarded at the end of each cohort. To graduate with a certificate, students must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Submit requirements and be accepted into the program.
- Complete all program requirements by the end of the term. Meet the >=80% average required in the following course categories
- Fulfill any additional program requirements as defined by special accreditation compliance standards.
Note: You must achieve a grade of “80” or better in PBT-3022 to successfully complete the courses, participate in the ceremony, and earn the Phlebotomy Certificate.
The current college academic calendar is maintained on the A-B Tech website. Continuing Education program calendars may vary slightly from the college calendar, but are distributed to students before the course start (holiday closings are always the same). Academic Calendar
