Need Research help?

When the library is open:

  • Submit an "Ask-an-A-B-Tech-Librarian" request, and one of our librarians will respond within 24 hours.
  • Make a Research Survivor appointment with one of our librarians by calling (828) 398-7301 or by using the form above with your appointment request.
  • Visit the library and ask the circulation desk staff for reference assistance from a librarian on duty.

Virtual Reference Help when the library is closed:

  • Need immediate help after regular library hours? ChatStaff librarians — certified professionals from across North Carolina — can help you use NC LIVE and other online resources via chat.

Interlibrary Loan Service

  • If the Don C. Locke Library does not own the book or material you need, it may be available through another North Carolina community college within our consortium. You may place a hold using the Evergreen catalog.

  • If the item is not available through Evergreen, currently enrolled students and college staff may submit a request using our online Interlibrary Loan form. Please note that some limitations may apply.

  • For complete information and access to the request forms, please visit our Interlibrary Loan Guidelines.
