IT Support Training Offered Free Through

A-B Tech and Per Scholas Partnership

 

A-B Tech is now offering free bootcamp-style IT support training that will equip IT professionals with the skills needed to secure remote, high-wage tech jobs. The training is provided by Per Scholas North Carolina, a nationally recognized nonprofit dedicated to advancing economic mobility through building sustainable and inclusive tech talent pipelines. The BlackRock Foundation awarded a $1 million two-year grant to Per Scholas to help expand its footprint across Western North Carolina.

The IT Support training is a 35-hour per week, 13-week course. The first course is set for February 24 to May 23, M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Interested students must register to be contacted by Per Scholas.

Technical Skills

  • Install computer hardware and peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve computer and network connectivity issues.
  • Configure mobile devices and peripherals.
  • Use industry best practices for IT security and safety.
  • Administer Windows server environment.
