2026 Fall Echocardiography Certificate Admissions
Beginning May 22, 2026, A-B Tech will be accepting applications for the Fall 2026 Echocardiography Certificate program. All requirements must be met to be added to the program’s eligibility list.
Note: Students must be registered sonographers to apply for this program.
Admission Requirements
To be considered eligible for the Echocardiography Certificate program, students must:
- Have applied to or attended A-B Tech within the past year. Apply online.
- Meet New Student Orientation requirements.
- Applicants must provide proof of ARDMS or CCI Registration (Active credential status required) in OB, Abdomen, or vascular sonography.
- Applicants must provide an official transcript verifying completion of a Sonography program that included Sonography Physics in the curriculum.
- Applicants must certify on their College application that they are a high school graduate from a valid institution, an adult high school graduate from a valid institution, or have a valid HSE diploma. High school graduation or the equivalent from a regionally accredited, valid institution is generally required for Financial Aid purposes. You must have a high school diploma or equivalency by the first day of classes for the Fall 2026 term.
- Complete the program Information Session.
- Meet with a Student Advisor to document eligibility and apply for the program. Students may come into the Bailey building anytime during our Hours of Operation for in-person services or to schedule a virtual student advising appointment.
Other Notes
- Students will be required to participate in an interview with an Echocardiography Instructor before final acceptance in the program.
- Students will be required to provide a letter from their employer on official letterhead stating:
- The applicant is a sonography employee in good standing
- The applicant will be permitted to perform echocardiographic scans as part of the training program.
- All students will be required to attend a mandatory program orientation before registering for classes. This is separate from New Student Orientation. Students who fail to attend orientation may lose their seats in the program.
