Admission Requirements
To be considered eligible for the Manicuring Certificate, students must:
- Have applied to or attended A-B Tech within the past year. Apply online.
- Meet New Student Orientation requirements.
- Demonstrate college placement in English.
- Meet with a Student Advisor to document eligibility and apply to the program. Students may come into the Bailey building anytime during our Hours of Operation for in-person services or to schedule a virtual student advising appointment.

Please Note
- Please note that students accepted into Manicuring will be required to attend a mandatory program orientation before registering for classes. This is separate from New Student Orientation. Costs and additional requirements will be discussed at the program orientation. Students who fail to attend orientation or meet additional requirements may lose their seats in the program.
- Manicuring students are required to complete Moodle Online Orientation prior to the program start to be successful in 100% online classes and meet requirements for program readiness.
- Submission of proper documentation is required by the Spa Therapies and Operations Department and the NC State Board of Cosmetic Art Examiners prior to class registration. Required documentation includes a Hepatitis B record, a current government-issued photo ID showing date of birth, and a Social Security card.
