2026 Fall Manicuring Application Criteria
Beginning May 20, 2026, A-B Tech will be accepting applications for the Fall 2026 Manicuring Certificate program. All requirements must be met to be added to the program’s eligibility list.
Admission Requirements
To be considered eligible for the Manicuring Certificate, students must:
- Have applied to or attended A-B Tech within the past year. Apply online.
- Meet New Student Orientation requirements.
- Demonstrate college placement in English.
- Meet with a Student Advisor to document eligibility and apply to the program. Students may come into the Bailey building anytime during our Hours of Operation for in-person services or to schedule a virtual student advising appointment.

Please Note
- All accepted and wait-listed students must attend the program orientation session held by the Spa Therapies and Operations department, which is separate from the College’s new student orientation. Program orientation details will be provided by the department after acceptance to the program or waitlist. Failure to attend the program orientation will result in the loss of a seat in the class.
- Manicuring students are required to complete Moodle Online Orientation prior to the program start.
- Submission of proper documentation is required by the Spa Therapies and Operations Department and the NC State Board of Cosmetic Art Examiners prior to class registration. Required documentation includes a Hepatitis B record, current government-issued photo ID showing date of birth, and a social security card, tax ID card, or Department of Homeland Security ID. These must be presented at the department orientation.
