2025 Fall Manicuring Instructor Certificate Application Criteria
Beginning May 14, 2025, A-B Tech is accepting applicants for the Fall 2025 Manicuring Instructor Certificate program. All requirements must be met to be added to the program’s eligibility list.
Admission Requirements
To be considered eligible for the Manicuring Instructor Certificate program, students must:
- Have applied to or attended A-B Tech within the past year. Apply online.
- Meet New Student Orientation requirements.
- Attest to being a high school graduate or having completed a High School Equivalency or Adult High School diploma by the time the program begins. The program will collect copies of diplomas/transcripts.
- Provide a valid, current NC Manicurist license.
- Meet with a Student Advisor to document eligibility and apply for the program. Students may come into the Bailey building anytime during our Hours of Operation for in-person services or to schedule a virtual student advising appointment.

Please Note
- Please note that students accepted into the Manicuring Instructor program will be required to attend a mandatory program orientation before registering for classes. This is separate from New Student Orientation. Costs and additional requirements will be discussed at the program orientation. Students who fail to attend orientation or meet additional requirements may lose their seat in the program.
- Submission of proper documentation is required by the Spa Therapies and Operations Department and the NC State Board of Cosmetic Art Examiners prior to class start. Required documentation includes a Hepatitis B record, current government-issued photo ID showing date of birth, and social security card.
