January 6th 2020 The Trailblazer RISE (Respect, Integrity, Support for Everyone) award was given during a breakfast in December. The nominees were Michael Harney, Damian Beavers, Carla Coombs, Emma Harper, and Daniel Mancuso, with Beavers selected as the overall winner.

Art by Whitesides Featured in Conference Center Gallery
January 6th 2020 Artist Shirley Whitesides recently had an exhibit of her work in the A-B Tech/Mission Health Conference Center Gallery. The exhibit titled “My Soul Looks Back, A Reflection of Art” included a reception and a fundraising event by Delta House to support youth and families in the Asheville communities.
Latest BLET Graduation at A-B Tech is a Family Affair
January 3rd 2020 Three dozen A-B Tech Basic Law Enforcement Training students completed their training and passed their state exams in December, with some of them continuing a family tradition in the profession.
Winter Chorus Concert
December 10th 2019 The Fine and Performing Arts Department would like to invite you to the A-B Tech Winter Chorus Concert at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 13 in Ferguson Auditorium. The chorus is under the direction of Joanna Best and Cary Fridley (pictured). Admission is free and the first 20 people at the 1:00 p.m.
Spherion Once Again Funds RAMP Scholarship
December 3rd 2019 Spherion Staffing & Recruiting of Asheville presented its Community Give Back Donation to A-B Tech's RAMP Scholarship for the second year. The scholarship supports students enrolled in the Engineering and Applied Technology programs.
Cooper Presents at CCA’s Fall Conference
December 3rd 2019 Philip Cooper, UpSkill WNC Coordinator, presented “A Fresh Start in Life” as the opening session of the Community Colleges of Appalachia fall conference in Hazard, Kentucky.
New Therapy Dog on Campus
December 3rd 2019 The Volunteer Program at A-B Tech is happy to introduce the newest edition to the A-B Tech Therapy Dog team. Terri and her dog Zoey started making rounds on Thursday, Nov. 7 at 2:30 p.m. in the Elm lobby, RESET room, Vet’s Café, and Locke Library.
