New Therapy Dog on Campus
December 3rd 2019 The Volunteer Program at A-B Tech is happy to introduce the newest edition to the A-B Tech Therapy Dog team. Terri and her dog Zoey started making rounds on Thursday, Nov. 7, at 2:30 p.m. in the Elm lobby, RESET room, Vet’s Café, and Locke Library.
60th Anniversary: Yes, We Had a Basketball Team
December 3rd 2019 One of the most surprising facts to our campus community is A-B Tech had a basketball team. We were the Atomics, and we had one most excellent season. In the 1970-71 school year, an intercollegiate sports effort was launched with the organization of a basketball team.

November 1st 2019 A special culinary evening, created by the award-winning students and chefs of the A-B Tech Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management Departments, was heldon October 17 at the Brumit Center for Culinary Arts and Hospitality.
Welcome, New Employees
November 1st 2019 Fabiola Cunningham joins A-B Tech as Education Navigator. Fabiola has an Associate’s Degree in Psychology from Central Piedmont Community College. She holds experience in medical office assisting, employee benefits, and customer service care.
Treasured Tree at Magnolia
November 1st 2019 The large Southern Magnolia tree on campus in front of the Brumit Center for Culinary Arts and Hospitality has been designated as a Treasured Tree by a program through Asheville GreenWorks. The plaque placed on the tree used a special screw with a spring to grow with the tree.
High School Students Tour Hospitality and CBI Facilities
November 1st 2019 Students from Michael Beaver's AP Biology class at Owen High School toured the Craft Beverage Institute of the Southeast today to learn more about the science behind creating beverages that use brewing, distillation, and fermentation processes on October 24.
