Student Fill Empty Bowls

October 2, 2019 Chef Instructor, Stephen Hertz, CEC, and five first-year Culinary Arts students helped to serve soup for companies that could not attend and serve themselves at Manna FoodBank’s 18th annual Empty Bowls. The event on September 24 at the DoubleTree had lunch and dinner options this year.

PBL Students Place at National Leadership Conference

October 2, 2019 The 11th Annual Hi-Technology Impact Conference (Hi-Tec) was held in St. Louis in July. Computer Instructor and NSF Grant Leader Pamela Silvers served as chair of this national conference attended by over 530 people.

Good News From AMST Program

September 30, 2019 A-B Tech's Administrative and Medical Systems Technology (AMST) program is the largest provider of staff for the Southeast region. EMSI’s workforce profile data shows A-B Tech has 166 alumni working in the Southeast region in AMST occupations.

A-B Tech Phlebotomy Program Ranked Second in Nation

September 30, 2019 A-B Tech’s Phlebotomy program has been ranked second in the nation for 2019 by NursingProcess.org. The ranking was established after evaluating more than 363 phlebotomy schools across the country.

Two Programs Report 100 Percent Pass Rate, Reaccreditation for Another

September 25, 2019 Dental Hygiene students had a 100 percent pass rate on their written National Boards and their clinical boards. One of the online national board exams is about 500 questions covering all topics in dental hygiene, including microbiology.
