February 26th 2019 A-B Tech Community College’s Women in Technology Group will hold its third annual Power Up, Power On event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 12 in the A-B Tech/Mission Health Conference Center. This annual women’s event features a program of workshops and networking opportunities.
Madison Instructor and Former State Trooper Receives Purple Heart 42 Years After Being Shot on the Job
February 12th 2019 John Flynn, a Criminal Justice Technology instructor at A-B Tech Madison received a Purple Heart from the NC State Highway Patrol in Raleigh after he was shot on the job in 1976.
Catherine Ball Attends Church with Former President Carter
February 11th 2019 Catherine Ball, Testing Center Specialist, attended Sunday School taught by former President Jimmy Carter at Maranatha Baptist Church in Plains, Ga., over the Martin Luther King Jr. weekend. Carter teaches two Sundays a month and it is advised to be in line before 5:30 a.m.
Student Wins Gilman Scholarship to Study in Ecuador

Hospitality and Culinary Job Fair
February 7th 2019 A-B Tech's Hospitality Education Department hosted a culinary and hospitality job fair on January 10 in the Magnolia Building's main dining room for all A-B Tech students.
Radiography Department Acquires an Anatomy Visualization System
February 6th 2019 A-B Tech's Radiology Department now has an Anatomage Table, which is a fully segmented real human 3D anatomy system. Users can visualize anatomy exactly as they would on a person without having to dissect. The table also comes with programmable options for animals, as well.
