Third Annual Western Women's Business Conference Coming June 22, 2017
May 1, 2017 The Western Women’s Business Center (WWBC) will hold its third annual conference, “Her Story, Her Journey,” on June 22, 2017, from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the U.S. Cellular Center. The Small Business Center (SBC) at A-B Tech is a lead sponsor along with SunTrust Bank.
Go Global Road Show
May 1, 2017 A-B Tech’s Division of Economic and Workforce Development/Continuing Education hosted the Go Global Road Show on April 21 in conjunction with the Economic Development Partnership of NC. The sessions took place on the 4th floor of the Ferguson Center for Allied Health & Workforce Development.

May 1, 2017 Congressman Mark Meadows paid a visit to the A-B Tech Asheville Campus on April 20 to tour Magnolia, Fernihurst, and the Ferguson Center for Allied Health and Workforce Development, while learning about programs the college has to offer.
Silvers Presents at New Horizons conference in Virginia

A-B Tech Annual Spring Student Art Show
April 21, 2017 A-B Tech’s Fine Arts Department will hold its 2017 Student Art Exhibition from May 5-31 in the Mission Health/A-B Tech Conference Center Gallery. The artists’ reception will be from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 5, with awards presented at 5:30 p.m.
Four A-B Tech Students Selected to Visit NASA
April 19, 2017 Students Elizabeth O’Nan, Cotler Burress, and Rose Easterday of A-B Tech have been selected to travel to NASA’s Langley Research Center, and student Nicholas Long to the Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, to participate in the NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars project (NCAS).
2017 PBL State Leadership Conference Winners
April 18, 2017 Members of A-B Tech’s chapter of Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) won 14 awards at the NCPBL State Leadership Conference in Charlotte. PBL is the business society on campus and is open to all students.
College Receives Grant Funds to Improve Minority Male Success
