


A-B Tech Culinary Team Headed to Nationals for Record Tenth Time
January 17th 2017 A-B Tech Community College’s Student Culinary Team won its 10h regional title after the competition on January 13-14 at Johnson and Wales University in Charlotte.

Brunch Honors A-B Tech Retirees
January 4th 2017 More than 60 College retirees attended a brunch in their honor December 15 in the Magnolia Dining Room with plans to make it an annual event. President Dennis King welcomed the group and gave them an update on the college.
Gift for President King from Central Asia
January 4th 2017 History Instructor and Fulbright Scholar, David Dry, gave President Dennis King a kalpak over the holidays. Dry, who is teaching in the Kyrgyz Republic for the 2016-17 academic year, presented King with the traditional headgear, which is said to symbolize the tall mountains of Kyrgyzstan.
Kudos to Stokoe For Completing Degree
January 3rd 2017 Daniel Stokoe, Clinical Laboratory Coordinator for Surgical Technology, completed his bachelor’s program in Public Health Education at UNC-Greensboro in December. Pictured celebrating the occasion with Daniel are his daughters, Kayla and Kira.
