July 7, 2020 Welding students at A-B Tech Madison remodeled he top dome from a railroad tank car. Asheville Fire Department procured it through Norfolk Southern, and it was taken from a derailment incident in the past.
Witsell’s Novel Wins Award

May 12, 2020 A-B Tech lost a devoted supporter and friend when Jack Ray Ferguson passed away on May 6. Jack and his wife, Carolyn, began their charitable giving to A-B Tech in 1999 with a pledge to support the Foundation through three charitable remainder trusts.

Annual A-B Tech Plant Sale Continued with ASAP Farmers Market
May 3, 2020 Each year, the Biology Department at A-B Tech hosts the Gnilka Memorial Plant Sale in honor of their colleagues, Sarah and Arnie Gnilka. The proceeds go directly into the Gnilka Scholarship, which provides funding to students majoring in Biology.
BioNetwork at A-B Tech Collaborates to Produce Hand Sanitizers
May 3, 2020 Through teamwork, organizations in Buncombe County were able to produce, package, and test hand sanitizers that were donated to Buncombe County Emergency Medical Services.
Students Inducted into NSLS for Spring 2020
May 3, 2020 A-B Tech students were inducted into the A-B Tech Chapter of The National Society of Leadership and Success. Members have to complete a series of leadership training throughout the semester to become an inducted member.
