After successful completion of the second semester of nursing coursework, the student may be eligible for CNA II certification. The School of Nursing director will email steps for completion to the appropriate cohort at that time. To obtain this certificate, the CNA I must be current. Students may only apply for CNA II once during the program. The opportunity to obtain a CNA II expires 30 days after the successful completion of the second semester of the nursing program.
Though certification as a nursing assistant is required for admission to the nursing program, maintaining certification while in the nursing program is not required.
