Beer Social at SBC
March 6, 2017 The A-B Tech Small Business Center hosted a Beer Social for its current and former incubation clients, partners, resource providers, and Small Business Center team on February 16 at the SBC at A-B Tech Enka. There were light appetizers, drinks, games, and networking opportunities.
Employee Art Show Opens
March 3, 2017 The Employee Art Show is open on the lower level of the Locke Library. An opening reception was held on March 1. Employees had an opportunity to submit two pieces of their work to display. The show will run through April 28. Go by and check out the hidden talken from the college.
A-B Tech’s Ownbey Named Young Surveyor of the Year
March 3, 2017 A-B Tech Geomatics Technology instructor, Jared R. Ownbey, was named “2016 Young Surveyor of the Year” at the North Carolina Society of Surveyors’ (NCSS) 53rd Annual Conference and Trade Show on February 17 at the Pinehurst Resort.
A-B Tech STEM Scholars Awarded NC Space Grant
March 3, 2017 Nick Long and Phillip Whiting, students at A-B Tech, have each been awarded a $2,500 scholarship from the North Carolina Space Grant, a member of a national network of university-based consortia.
