Beer Social at SBC
March 6, 2017 The A-B Tech Small Business Center hosted a Beer Social for its current and former incubation clients, partners, resource providers, and Small Business Center team on February 16 at the SBC at A-B Tech Enka. There were light appetizers, drinks, games, and networking opportunities.

A-B Tech’s Ownbey Named Young Surveyor of the Year
March 3, 2017 A-B Tech Geomatics Technology instructor, Jared R. Ownbey, was named “2016 Young Surveyor of the Year” at the North Carolina Society of Surveyors’ (NCSS) 53rd Annual Conference and Trade Show on February 17 at the Pinehurst Resort.
A-B Tech STEM Scholars Awarded NC Space Grant
March 3, 2017 Nick Long and Phillip Whiting, students at A-B Tech, have each been awarded a $2,500 scholarship from the North Carolina Space Grant, a member of a national network of university-based consortia.
A-B Tech Volunteer Spotlight
March 3, 2017 Tom volunteers his time and talents to the Department of Transitional Studies at the Goodwill Career Center on Patton Avenue. There, he provides one-to-one and small group math tutoring to individuals enrolled in the Adult Basic Education and High School Equivalency (ABE/HSE) program.
