Early Childhood Graduate Lewis Selected to Speak at WCU Commencement
January 7th 2020 Mary Lewis, who graduated from the Early Childhood and Business Administration programs from A-B Tech, was featured in the McDowell News and was a commencement speaker at the December graduation at Western Carolina University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood.
A-B Tech Designated as a SACA Pilot School
January 6th 2020 A-B Tech is one of a few schools in the nation approved for the Smart Automation Certification Alliance (SACA) pilot program. SACA is a non-profit organization that is developing standardized credentials for Industry 4.0 technology, automation, and smart manufacturing.

January 6th 2020 The Trailblazer RISE (Respect, Integrity, Support for Everyone) award was given during a breakfast in December. The nominees were Michael Harney, Damian Beavers, Carla Coombs, Emma Harper, and Daniel Mancuso, with Beavers selected as the overall winner.

Art by Whitesides Featured in Conference Center Gallery
January 6th 2020 Artist Shirley Whitesides recently had an exhibit of her work in the A-B Tech/Mission Health Conference Center Gallery. The exhibit titled “My Soul Looks Back, A Reflection of Art” included a reception and a fundraising event by Delta House to support youth and families in the Asheville communities.
