March 6, 2020 Allied Health programs at A-B Tech have received top rankings in North Carolina for 2019 by Nursing Process. The Dental Assisting Program placed first in the state. Dental Hygiene ranked third, right behind UNC-Chapel Hill, and Medical Sonography also ranked third.

A-B Tech Barber Academy Has Launched
February 7, 2020 Twenty new students joined Instructor Jay Kaufmann in the classroom of the Barber Academy on January 21 for its first class. The continuing education workforce training program will prepare students to apply for and pass the licensing examination offered by the North Carolina State Board of Barber Examiners (NCBBE).

A-B Tech Celebrates 60 Years
December 3, 2019 Founded in 1959, A-B Tech began offering programs in the 1959-60 academic year from two offices in Asheville City Hall. Sixty years later, the College has expanded to five locations and 32 buildings in Buncombe and Madison counties.
