Medical Coding Certificate at A-B Tech Now Available Online
July 13, 2020 A-B Tech’s Medical Coding program is now offered 100 percent online or in a hybrid method of delivery. This short-term class lasts three semesters and prepares individuals for entry-level employment opportunities in the healthcare specialty of medical coding.
Education Program at A-B Tech Expands to Include K-12
July 13, 2020 A-B Tech Community College’s Early Childhood Education department has expanded its support of growing local educators. The department’s name has changed and the scope of its work has expanded to include not only early childhood education but also K-12 education teacher preparation in response to the growing need for qualified teachers for all ages in North Carolina.

Longtime Benefactor and Volunteer Jack Ferguson Dies at 93
May 12, 2020 A-B Tech lost a devoted supporter and friend when Jack Ray Ferguson passed away on May 6. Jack and his wife, Carolyn, began their charitable giving to A-B Tech in 1999 with a pledge to support the Foundation through three charitable remainder trusts.
