Comments:

The A-B Tech Phlebotomy Certificate program fulfills employment requirements in the state of North Carolina and all 51 states or territories listed above for “Meets State Educational Requirements for Licensure or Certification”. Students will not be credentialed to work in California, Nevada, Louisiana, and Washington states because they require a state license process to practice there.

North Carolina does not offer or support any kind of licensure for phlebotomy certificate level graduates. Graduates are eligible for credentials through multiple professional organizations. The Phlebotomy courses at A-B Tech are a foundational step towards a license or certification examination. For questions contact Monique Worley, MLS (ASCP), Phlebotomy Coordinator and Lead Instructor at moniquehworley@abtech.edu.
