May 17th 2022 A-B Tech Community College has added a new Cardiovascular Sonography degree to its Allied Health curriculum. Cardiovascular sonography is a growing, in-demand field that pays an average salary of $70,000 a year.
Employees of the Year Honored at End of Semester Celebration
May 16th 2022 Six employees were selected for annual honors during A-B Tech’s employee spring picnic on May 12. They were nominated by peers and students earlier in the year. Final selections were made by the college’s Faculty and Staff associations.
A-B Tech Commencement Features President John Gossett’s First Ceremony
May 13th 2022 A-B Tech Community College will award approximately 1,000 degrees and diplomas to graduates this year during the college’s 2022 Commencement ceremony at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 14, at Harrah’s Cherokee Center in Asheville.
Vet Med Tech Scholarship Established in Memory of Student
May 12th 2022 The Melissa A. Oglesbee Scholarship ($2,000) was established in 2022 by Garrett Earhart in memory of his wife, Melissa Oglesbee. Melissa was a 2010 graduate of the A-B Tech Veterinary Technology program and graduated at the top of her class.

April 21st 2022 Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College’s Student Art Show returns to the Mission Health/A-B Tech Conference Center Gallery for 2022. An artists’ reception for the students in the curriculum Fine Arts program will be from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 6.

A-B Tech Limited Programs Open for Fall 2022 Admission
April 7th 2022 A-B Tech Community College has opened Limited Admission enrollment for several in-demand degree programs for the Fall 2022 semester. The programs begin in August but are open for early admission because they have limited capacity due to clinical site, resources, and/or lab space availability.
